The breed is always alert, lively and incredibly devoted to its owner. They are also very teachable and easy to train. It is also worth noting that they are strong and can withstand most weather conditions, as well as having a long life.

The health of a Pomeranian

Generally speaking, Pomeranian dogs are a healthy breed. But just like other dog breeds, they can also have some health problems. It is important to know about these as a responsible dog owner.

In addition, Pomeranian dogs are more prone to tartar, so it may be necessary to clean their teeth under anesthesia regularly. Some dogs even have to do this 3-4 times a year. Size, weight and appearance

The breed is very attractive with its beautiful fur that protrudes from the body due to the rich undercoat. Particularly eye-catching is the strong mane-like collar around the neck and the bushy tail carried proudly over the back. The fox-like head structure with the alert eyes and the pointed, small and close-set ears give the breed a characteristic and appealing appearance. The average height of a fully grown Pomeranian is only 18–23 cm and the weight is usually between 1.3–3.1 kg for both male and female dogs.

Exercise

Pomeranian dogs are smart and can learn a lot. But they only want to listen to people they look up to. So, for the training to go well, you have to be determined, have clear rules and show that you are the boss. If you don’t show that you are the boss, the Pomeranian may try to take over!
