The color varies from blue brindle to wheat in various shades of light wheat to golden and red.

The breed is prone to the eye disease PRA, which stands for progressive retinal atrophy. This is a disorder that affects the visual cells in the retina.

History and origin

The Glen of Imaal terrier has its origins in a valley called “Glen of Imaal” in The Wicklow Mountains, southeast of Ireland. The age of this breed is unknown, but it has been around for hundreds of years. The mountain farmers in the Glen of Imaal used this dog as a farm and hunting dog.Good luck!
