The English Toy Terrier originated in England and is considered the oldest miniature dog. The breed has common ancestry with other terriers that belong to working terriers. Formerly known as Black and Tan in its country of origin, the breed received its current name, English Toy Terrier (abbreviated ETT), in 1960.It has a history as a rat-catching terrier in the 19th century and was popular during the Industrial Revolution. The eyes are small, dark and almond-shaped. The ears are characteristic, upright shaped like the flame of a candle and pointing forward. The breed has a long and elegant neck, as well as a compact body.The topline is slightly arched from the withers to the loin. The chest is deep and narrow, and the tail is set low. The color is black and tan, where black is like ebony and the tan like a deep and warm chestnut. The colors must be sharply separated and form clear and well-defined boundaries. The height at the withers is between 25-30 cm.Fur grooming
